Seems to me they deal with different people in different ways. I think they just hope you'll give up. I rang for feedback (the main recruitment line) and was told to e-mail the person who sent my rejection letter. So I did. A couple of weeks later I got a call from the HR guy who interviewed me, to arrange a 'phone appointment to discuss my failings.
The feedback he gave was very detailed and useful, so it's worth persevering. You do deserve to get feedback, so don't give up!
