The World Cup? I think that`s in Brazil, reaching Brazil from Guyana is not easy at all, it is easier to reach from Canada. Yes you can go to Boa Vista from G town, but not sure you wanna do that crazy and dangerous ride with overworked miners and prostitutes, that to get to Boa Vista!!..which I`m not even gonna comment on. You can fly to Suriname then down to Brazil, but it costs a fortune..
The Warm Weather? You mean crazy hot an humid, no AC, there are also no beaches in Guyana and the rivers are not the best to refresh yourself.
You should try Suriname, quality of life is great, better then any place I have lived in Brazil, it`s a true gem, but they do have the same bad weather of Guyana. There are also a lot of Canadians in Suriname, mostly from the French side. The jungle side is still very pristine and hasn`t gone out of hand yet..it`s also a very safe country.
