How about on long haul? Delta wasn't a success was it? EDI and GLA have one United a day in winter and a double UA vs a UA / US in summer, hardly "trumping". What you mean is EDI does better in inbound tourism from Europe. As for EK, EDI is sandwiched between GLA and NCL so not looking likely.
