Dubai hasn't reached capacity. The Dubai controllers have. With all due respect, you can land 34 an hour because you seem to be doing f&$k all else with 31! Some of the controlling of late is a shambles. Was told the other night that you were "loosing" it with 31 per hour so we told the AMAN that and suggested 28!. Poor to be honest.
On the other hand, if the regulator would get their heads outta their arses and approve simultaneous approaches (based on a safety case), the potential to boost the arrival rate significantly isn't too far away. Oh, and allow them to provide wake to 4nm instead of touchdown. That would probably help too!..... Gonna be fun during the summer if the said resurfacing is going ahead...delays, delays, delays.....round and round DESDI we go....
