Which is why I left.
When there were cries for 12 days strike over Christmas a couple of years ago, my nagging doubt of the intention and management of the union got the better of me and I decided I no longer wanted to be part of something that was so insular and negative.
The e-mails that used to arrive almost daily were poorly written, "bolshy" and and stating things that were obviously inflated hyper boil. I did the sums and decided that for a union who was getting an astounding amount of money from its members every month, the supposed assurance and protection they ofered was not worth it. I would be happy to fend for myself.
