The DGCA must have issued the TC to 787 in lieu of the TC it holds from FAA. How come the guys at Boeing and/or FAA with the implied "divine skills" not able to detect the problems with the a/c before issue of TC?
That was not very responsible of the DGCA When Boeing has to get permission from FAA for a test flight, why would DGCA issue ferry permit to Air India?

Seems like it is always
all about money. The delayed delivery of 787 was hurting Boeing. So what happens? FAA to the rescue. God knows how many other safety concerns were put aside while issuing that TC. The US government really knows how to back their industries.$
