Looks like a shot across the bow at Boeing.
JS is saying... give us a great deal on the -8Is, or we will just increase frequencies with the 777 (and someday the A350) instead of buying the big metal. It's a believable bluff, but a bluff nonetheless because CX will need a bigger airplane to compete in the future.
