I agree with radeng that T5 is "not big enough" to house all BA's LHR operations. But another way of looking at it would be to say that BA's operation is "too big" for T5.
Is BA just being a bit greedy, trying to fit too many flights into a space that won't take them? Yes, and inconveniencing passengers more than they allow them greater choice.
