I think that that characterisation of the Daily Mail is fair enough. After all most of us are quite happy to characterise Guardian readers as yoghourt eating, sandal wearing, bearded wimpy lefty schoolteachers. Guess neither stereotype is very accurate, but as long as they're not taken too seriously they are a useful shorthand, I suppose.
