What I mentioned above is when you would like to "practice" Of course if you have no other choice but to do a NDB with marginal WX that is what you have to do, that is not a choice you have, thatīs why we should practice regularly apart from the simulator, to have our skills fresh when the time comes where you have no choice and you MUST be able to do IT.
The example above was to highlight the need of practice hand flying without taking unnecessary risks, and using
all available resources for a given set of conditions and situations. Prior to a flight , I have it very clear you are either fit or unfit to fly.
