I did have a pretty rubbish time at swissport, just miss the atmosphere. Ill stress I live in Manchester, I saw the job for continental on indeed, I found the better jobs went up on there. Swissport now at MAN only do 30 hour contracts as standard however you'll struggle only working certain days, I know parents with young children struggled with this and they had a legal reason for flexible working!
You do get standby, you have to pay the taxes, but getting time off with one of these GHAs is so difficult anyway you probably won't bother.
I knnow a guy who I worked with though who now works on the monarch ticket desk full time but he really is an exception to the rule.
The problem is the people who work for airlines/airports rather than handling agents is they know they have it good. Better pay, better benefits, better company all round, noone wants to leave!
Defintiely try indeed though, they are the best job site out there IMHO.
