When I first joined Ryanair before the recession we never grounded 80 a/c in the winter, so thats aload sh!te. A few smaller airlines have stopped flying, but does that help ryanair in the winter?

Sensible approach is going for profitable growth rather than busting the airline for short term growth.
History is full of short term companys.
