Skaz,

Man, I do not know. I personally am of the opinion that a pilot should not have to pay for their rating. That pilots should be hired on their merits and ability to do the work and not on whether they have 8500+ sterling in the bank and willing to pay for the rating. I am all for a training bonds. You train me and help me advance my career, I'll give you a garanteed year or two. I don't believe in pilot gets loan, company pays loan. That's just to risky in todays markets. Plus, what if the pilot can't GET the loan, then what? I lose a job opportunity because the bank didn't approve my loan request??? Where's the fairness in that?? What are we too do though?? The company won't hire you unless you're type rated. No other company is interested in you. It's like a circle, where did it start. WHERE does it END??? But this is a WHOOOOOLE different can of worms which I am NOT trying to open up here in this thread. Sorry Skaz, I can't answer your question. However, if money was no issue, I kinda like that CRJ, .....I guess I'd go for it. That ERJ145 is slick looking too, but it ain't made in the homeland, so....... Maybe a Gulfstream? Have ALWAYS loved them, plus I'm very interested in the corporate side of the industry, but so far no luck. Ahhhhh, I LOVE this industry!!!
