Really don't know where to start with this. How does the aisle on an A320
increase boarding speed compared to a 738? Aside fro having a few less rows, the
difference in loading time certainly cannot be described as "dramatic"
When Easyjet phased out the 737 from the fleet, the main feedback from the crew was that the 319 was so much more spacious than the 737 in the aisles. (there certainly wasnt more leg room!!). It is also very much true that when the trolley is in the aisle you can get past it during the flight unlike the 737s which you had to wait until it had come past to get past it. I would support the arguement that boarding quicker with Airbus aisle width, certainly on EZY.. more space to when people are taking time to get bags into overhead lockers people can pass. EZY have really perfected the turnaround and this evening a quite full A320 EDI BFS was boarded in very quickly indeed. But that is away from the point....
