Well, If the SJ planes are still set up as they were when I flew there they might have issues with payload. Most of the -800's were 24K engines. However, with a check written to Boeing 27K engine ratings are available. One of my old airlines regularly used 737-800 aircraft on US west coast to Hawaii and on US trans-con flights. Those flights are normally 4.5-6 hours depending on wind. As to the inside of the aircraft I have to say that my 6'2" frame did not enjoy riding more than an hour on a Spicejet aircraft. SJ may have to increase the seat pitch a little for these flights. As far as baggage is concerned I don't ever remember bulking out the bins on a 737, but Indians do tend to shop big when they travel so who knows. As a side note, I am sure that the pilots are very excited about their new flights and destinations. I look forward to maybe seeing some old friends out and about.
