Not sure if any of you boys who are posting now are familiar with the Friday Night freighter out of PD. It stopped running before Christmas 2001. Just before the NWN frieghter replaced it.
BIV was the machine. The old wagon fixed most other Broome based 210's. Even when at same power settings of what the other company operated (21 inches 2400RPM). In the wagon you could depart last and arrive first (not beating any of the barons or the 310 that is). That was when BIV was fitted with the McCauley Prop.
After the NWN incident and during the early days of the NWN freighter there was only one machine to have: BIL!! Most of the KLA pilots of that time would agree: BC, HW,
JS, BM, HD, JD (initials only). For the Broome Av pilots: GF, AJ, AK, RH SK, EZ, DK, they would agree as BIL fixed up most of their 210's during that time (including Sqeezer!!). From what I understand now, BIL may not be the fastest in the Broome region anymore. Could anyone shed any light?
