I couldn't see a reply to this early question, the answer is 'absolutely'.
The system is
AirPrint.
If like me you don't have an AirPrint enabled printer, you can still print wirelessly from your device by using 'AirPrint Activator" which can be used on a Mac/PC with any printer.
