This is from Travelmole:

Thomson and First Choice boost regional flights

Thomson and First Choice are boosting flights from regional airports in response to customer feedback.

The new routes for summer 2013 are part of a strategy to ensure holidaymakers can fly from their local airport, claims the operator.

Norwich airport is getting three new routes to Dalaman in Turkey, Enfidha in Tunisia and Tenerife as well as another weekly flight to Palma and increased capacity to Corfu.

The additional flights will mean customers will be able to choose varying destinations and not just the traditional seven and 14 night breaks.

Stansted is getting a new charter flight to Agadir in Morocco and flights throughout the summer from Stansted to Gran Canaria.

The operator is going to announce further new routes from Aberdeen on Thursday.
Paul Cooper, airport negotiations manager for Thomson and First Choice, said: "Modernising our operations across the UK is a key part of our overall strategy and this move is definitely a step in the right direction towards creating an enhanced holiday experience for our customers."

Andrew Bell, Norwich airport's chief executive, said: "An easy, hassle free start to a holiday cannot be under estimated.

"With short journey times to the airport compared to London airports, on-site secure car parking next to the terminal, a friendly welcome when you arrive, efficient check-in and security procedures and no endless corridors to navigate with your bags, Norwich International Airport puts some of the pleasure back into flying."
