I have a friend who must have videoed most of the last 10 years of her life. I'm afraid the idea fills me with horror, but each to their own.
With that out of the way, are you thinking of filming yourself for posterity or for the educational value. I can imagine that the latter might be quite valuable, though personally I enjoyed the independence of my early solos and the fact that I was the only person who ever got to critique them. I got plenty of feedback from my instructors during the remaining 35 hours. There's something very liberating about making and correcting one's mistakes independently.
