British Bulldog - a lot depends on where you are going to fly. Even outside Europe, the oil companies tend to want JAA standards, so it may be something to look at as a supplement to your FAA licence.
The next decision is whether you want the ATPL(H) or the CPL(H), and even the IR(H) (note that the current combination of CPL(H) and IR(H) does not equal an ATPL(H)).
You will need to do all the exams, but your flying training should be "as required". If you have over 1000 hours multi-crew, you should be able to waltz straight in and do the exams (i.e. you can self-certify), but you would be very unwise to do that without preparation due to the abysmal nature of the questions.
There plenty of schools who can do the flying and a couple who can do the flying and the IR if required, but only one or two in UK who can do the ATPL(H) theoretical knowledge, which, as of 25 June does NOT include Bristol.
