For what it's worth, I'm given to understand that SM is a retired Shell engineer. In fact one of my colleagues has met him and knows his name, although he's obviously not going to divulge it. Neither would I, if I knew.
However the fact that SM is retired might be the reason why he seems to feel that he can pontificate on helicopter issues and make statements that his erstwhile employer would never sanction nor endorse.
To me his utterances exhibit a modicum of disloyalty to the "hand that feeds him", although perhaps there are one or two of his former colleagues who share his views. Still, I think he's not doing Shell any favours.
As before, I won't be entering into any communications with him at any level, particularly as I have no ambition to be dragged down.
