HF, that is correct.
I have a UK-issued JAR-FCL PPL(A) but I live in the Netherlands. All my instructional hours, examiner signatures and so forth, required for license/class rating renewal are therefore done by Dutch JAR-FCL licensed instructors/examiners. No problem whatsoever.
The only thing I make sure of, is when any examiner signs any paperwork (such as the C/R renewal pages and CAA forms), I make a copy of that examiners paperwork (examiners authorization) and send that along.
