Yes, but 'confirmed' doesn't mean 'must travel'. Staff on duty travel have a lower boarding priority than fare paying passengers. If the flight is overbooked and they all turn up, guess who gets offloaded first? It's a bit like FOC travel - bloody useless when flights are full.
