Well said Arfur. I'm pretty disappointed at Iron Skillet's attempt to stir up an argument. WAW says it all. In any case, Spanners and his workmates are always welcome on my jumpseats.
As for the Oz commuter who hogs multiple J1's, I hope he is reading this and gets the message. He is well known amongst those who are regulars on that route.
Can't say I agree with starting at J3 though. Leaving J1 open seems to be reasonable to save a seat for fellow pilots or last minute requests due to compasionate or other good reasons.
