I have an A320 rating and genuinely regret it. It was a foolish thing to do with no solid job offer, but I was straight out of flight school and unfortunately fell for the bull**** and the sales pitch.
I am fortunately flying right now, but not on an A320 and no sight of a job on one anytime soon. Becoming a pilot has allowed me to do some amazing things, live some fantastic places and meet great people. However I feel I have entered this industry 20 years too late with the terms and conditions on offer nowadays...
I'm too stubborn to change paths now and I'll hopefully look back in 30 years and say I made the right career choice. And if not? I'll put the lessons I learned in the Caribbean to good use and hit the rum
