re-capping - everything is fine, going down to 222' minima based on the 5% gross climb gradient
If this climb gradient is specified on the approach chart (I haven't seen it, but assume this to be the case), then the 5% climb gradient is
NETT, not gross. Same is true of the standard 2.5% gradient in Pans Ops procedures... I assume the HK charts are based on Pans Ops - not sure what TERPS does, but suspect it would be much the same.
Either way, it makes the 2.1% gross climb figure a tad worrying.
