1. Apres Beach Bar and Grill – Palm Cove, fireworks, live music, bus service from Cairns all night. But you will have to book.

3. Frog and Toad (The ultimate bar hop). They will take you to 5 bars and the last one will give you a view of the NYE fireworks on the Esplanade.
4. The Sports Bar (The 5 Finger Ball)
There are obviously plenty more, but even if you cruise on down to the Esplanade on the waterfront, you wont be far from a lot of the action and there are backpacker joints within walking distance.
