Just a query as I am joining EK in a couple of weeks and when it comes to getting letters confirming licence, type and instrument rating validity from the UK CAA I'm having a few problems that maybe some fellow Brits who've made tha exchange can advise me with.
Mainly the problem being that the UK CAA will not certify the type and instrument ratings in my licence - standard practice they say - only the actual licence validity. Also they will not certify EACH page of my licence and apparently the UAE GCAA accepts the UK licence without any problems. Is this true ?
Any advice would be VERY welcome as I don't wish to turn up in DXB and encounter admin problems.
