Have you actually been offered a job on the condition that you get to 500hrs or have you seen a job that you’d like to apply to but they require 500hrs min?
How many hours do you have at the moment, would it take long/ cost much to get up to 500hrs?
Unfortunately there’s nothing you can do about insurance imposed minimum hours, because there is such a huge supply of pilots at the moment the operators can negotiate lower insurance premiums and accept the higher insurance imposed minimums. If there was an excessive demand for pilots the operators would have to pay higher insurance premiums to be able to accept the lower hour candidates.
