Company insurance
Hey guys,
Just found a job but the company insurance demands 500h which I do not have.
So, is this a cul-de-sac or is there any chance to solve this problem?
Thanks a lot.

Job-Seeker,
Unfortunately, most airlines/aerial companies don't hire low timers because of insurances. I know some jobs here in Portugal I could get (and any low houred would be hired) but they say they can not hire just because of insurance - f it wasn't that, I was now employed :/

Have you actually been offered a job on the condition that you get to 500hrs or have you seen a job that you’d like to apply to but they require 500hrs min?
How many hours do you have at the moment, would it take long/ cost much to get up to 500hrs?
Unfortunately there’s nothing you can do about insurance imposed minimum hours, because there is such a huge supply of pilots at the moment the operators can negotiate lower insurance premiums and accept the higher insurance imposed minimums. If there was an excessive demand for pilots the operators would have to pay higher insurance premiums to be able to accept the lower hour candidates.
