I'm tempted to agree that it was Eastern looking to diversify, but apparently it was indeed something to do with maritime patrol demos. There's a thread in the Mil subforum that asked the same thing. Perhaps the S2000 is being pitched as a sleeker & more modern version of the P3 Orions!
