This sounds typical of the BBC, making environmental mountains out of molehills, deliberately hyped up to stir up the locals before any proper survey of the extent of the problem is conducted, as well as expecting the MOD to have applied today's level of safety and envoiromental risk documentation at the end of a war that had killed several million people.
