The ABZ service is very likely to be the end of CityJet's poor DND service over the past year or so - with so much chopoping and changing of schedule/aircraft type.
The future of the DND service is up to WX. I think the worst thing WX did was end the original contract with CB to operate the DND and EDI service using the D328. Another problem is the timetable for the DND/LCY service has not exactly been put together with the needs of business pax. It really needs a daily late morning service ex LCY and a early afternoon flight ex DND.
Personally I think that we will here from WX in the coming months announcing a new 3 x Daily LCY-ABZ service and that they plan to use a 3rd leased D328 from Suckling on the route. I think WX will be reluctant to go head to head and operate flights at the same time as BACF. They will probably end up operating basing the aircraft in LCY rather than ABZ like BACF and have the aircraft operate LCY-ABZ-LCY-ABZ-LCY-ABZ-LCY .
