Exactly. A huge majority of Aberdeen's movements are turboprop aircraft and ERJs - too small for airbridges (not sure about the E170s/190s). One could be placed on Stand 7 for BA!
But this was always the problem the Airport had when the likes of Ryanair were asking for more & more discounts. As things stood, RYR got exactly the same facilities as the likes of BA, KLM and Lufthansa do now. The airport couldn't, and rightly didn't, give further concessions to them.
IF things like airbridges were available, that might be one way to offer airlines a reduced tarriff - make their passengers walk in the elements!
Can't see it happening though!
