Rolling takeoffs are accomplished in two ways:
• if cleared for takeoff before or while entering the runway, maintain
normal taxi speed. When the airplane is aligned with the runway
centerline ensure the nose wheel steering tiller is released (...)
• if holding in position on the runway, ensure the nose wheel steering tiller
is released, release brakes, then apply takeoff thrust as described above.
In effetti parlare di static takeoff non è preciso: da una turning bay strettina la corsa di decollo inizia comunque "senza slancio", e con l'inerzia iniziale qualche turista in cerca di sensazioni a TNCM
lo si può spazzar via comunque.
