Given that the "super" ( think they need to change
that title!!) blocked the runway for over 4 hours , along with extra staff and using one runway for landing and take-off's , it was a pretty good job to clear the backlog by 1am odd.
Crisis management? What more can be done at that time of night with one runway in operation? at least 12 diverted to other airports.
Yeah it was messy and busy - but hey ATC and Apron staff didn't block the runway ( something that is very rare throughout a year.!!!
