Vueling removes days off for its pilots
With all the expansion at Vueling and hiring, Vueling has unilaterally decided To take away days off violating the collective agreement according to the union delegates. ( Of 12 days off a month in the collective agreement management unilaterally reduced pilots days off to 11, by one day, )
Vueling's new chief operating officer stood up and walked out of negotiations according to its union representatives.
According to delegates the COO walked out when permanent contracts were discussed. It appears that the new manager is pushing the union towards a difficult situation in pilot- management relations stated in the general meeting this week'
The Vueling collective agreement states that pilots are to be hired with primarily fixed permanent contracts, meanwhile hires all new hires with temporary contracts.
