learjet 60 xr vs citation xls
Hey,
I am currently flying a Hawker 400XP in Brazil, but the company is thinking of buying a new jet. At the moment they are looking at the xls and the 60xr.
We really like the 60XR but we heard bad thinks about its RWY performance, normally we fly to big airports with long runways, but once a month we go to a 4000' strip, 2000 feet AMSL with 30+ °C(86+°F) temperatures.
The destination is about 300NM away and there is no fuel available, so we need enough fuel to fly 600NM+reserves.
I was wondering if there are any 60XR pilot's that can tell me if the lear 60xr can do this trip any day of the week???
For the XLS this is not a problem, but we also do some 1800NM missions up north, so we believe the XLS is not the right plane for the job.
Hope anyone here can give me some info on the 60XR.
