The most I could see is that if BA end up acquiring bmiRegional that they would spin it off with a BA Franchise as a dowry. I think bmi Regional may be easier to finance with a BA franchise than as a truly independent carrier, as is currently proposed. All of that said, I can't see a huge number of routes that would be attractive and/or viable. Much of the wet-leasing to LH family airlines will probably end quite quickly after any sale. For example BE are now doing some flying for SN.
