According to an ex Beeb news reader, most of the senior news staff read the Guardian and use it as their bible. Since that 'paper' is an extreme lefty liberal apologist rag then it's no wonder that the Beeb has similar views.
To give an example of the Guardian's mind-set they ran an article last week saying that it was
perfectly justifiable for the noted California scientist and president of the Pacific Institute, Peter Gleick, to fraudulently obtain documents by identity theft from the Heartland Institute and possibly be the author of a forged document purported to come from them. Why? Because they say it's a heretical organization that is anti carbon induced global warming and they wanted to show it was funded by big bad coal/oil, which it isn't.
