I was in Madrid this winter on a job share, pretty good if you want an obscene amount of time at home. It's a 5 on 13 off, only doing one shift depending on what the other guy does, i.e. one guy only does lates the other only earlies.
Hours wise, I've done a similar number to last year, don't do that many standbys, but I've still had a couple.
They can give you a pretty bad month if your 13 days off are the 1st and last 13 days of the month and you have a couple of standbys you could end up flying only 10 hours, but then again, you may end up flying 35+ if you have a long week. It's all a bit of a roster lottery!
I'd do it again if given the option, I'd much rather be at home earning nothing, than being away, paying for a hotel, being miserable, and possibly being lumped with 3 days standby a week and maybe losing money!
