Mmmh, de facto, as you seem amazed that I've never used "derate" before, I suppose you're still confusing flexible and derated T.O.'s on Airbus.
(quoted from "getting to grips with aircraft performance" 7.2.4.):
"Derated takeoff is not available for all Airbus aircraft models . It is basic on all A330 and A340 models, but doesn’t yet exist on the other Airbus aircraft types."
So, even without looking at my profile, you should be able to conclude that I never flew any other Airbus type then the A320 series.
