I was similarly siuated when doing my ATPL, CPL etc etc. but tackled it on a full time basis over about 9 months. Kept wife happy by devoting weekends to home life and social events, and working my bollxxx off during the week. Am now in full time flying employment and life is not so bad, wife and kid are happy and see me every day.
Chances are your first job will be short haul/ air taxi work and you will be home nearly every day, so although there is lots of study and pressure, it is possible to have a life as well in aviation.
Of course your circumstances may not allow you to take up training full time, but it would allow you to get the bulk of the legwork out of the way in a relatively short space of time. Worth considering.
