President George W. Bush looks over Katie, the National Thanksgiving Turkey, during the annual ceremonial pardoning in the Rose Garden, Tuesday, Nov. 26. "By virtue of this pardon, Katie is on her way not to the dinner table, but to Kidwell Farm in Herndon, Virginia. There she'll live out her days as safe and comfortable as she can be," said President Bush before granting the pardon.
Just goes to show it's not only the Brits who have curious traditions!
