And herein lies a big problem for the pilot community. We actually believe that having 11 days off per month WITH NO VACATION AT ALL is "good". It is not.
Workers that are 100% away from their families for an extended period usually works a month on/a month off or similar. The KAL commuting is not the worst, there are pilots working on 6 weeks on/two weeks off, but to say it's good is a sign of how low pilots have lowered their expectations of a decent life style.
