OK Foggy, I`ll start it off.
Got a job with an air taxi outfit just recently (actually posted it before, but what the h...) and expect to begin flying shortly. I`ve got a CPL/IR/MEL with 1000 hours total - most of which is from instructing in the States.
And to possibly bring some more hope to the wannabes section I can mention that I have 2 more job offerings on the table, but so far I do not know when those respective positions will be in effect.
Some of you guys might be thinking to yourself that FOAL has some other qualifications that the rest of us don`t have. Not true at all! What it comes down to is being at the right place at the right time, having a reference within the company, updating your application/CV regularly, and of course having the minimum hours. Also, don`t limit yourselves by saying that you only want to work in Europe - there are jobs elsewhere in the world, and a lot of those places will accept or validate your licenses.
Anyone else?
Good luck to all, and of course I`ll keep posting on pprune.
