Yet another issue living outside Dubai is company transport. I'm not sure if EK will pick you up outside Dubai, and even if they will, the traffic can be gridlock in some places like Sharjah and UMM. Be very careful about taking the allowance with dollar signs in your eyes. The stress, isolation and hassle can break relationships. I agree with yoyo, take the company acc and settle into the city for a year or two.
