The torygraph think that the weaker nations inside the Euro would rapidly devalue against sterling by 2016 in the event of a Euro breakup.
Greek Drachma worth 44% less.
The Portuguese Escudo 28% less.
The Spanish Peseta 24% or so less.
The Italian Lira 12% less.
The French Franc 4% less.
Given that the Portugal Contract is for 2 years do you really want to be stuck on an inferior contract being paid in Escudo with very little chance of a return to UK?
But then not so rosy for the UK either but cheap european holidays maybe.
