Isnt the reason QR dropping capacity not due to major aircraft shortage rather than anything else, with capacity to be reinstated when aircraft available ? Surely that almost is conversely a positive than the "bubble about to burst". If that is the case would support EDI rumours of EY rather than QR. Im not sure there is a precedent for EK "chasing off" EY from routes. With a local double daily EK at GLA, wouldnt bode well for an EDI EY service if that was the case
