Pre FADEC generation engines are more sensitive to stall/surge,
with the modern FADEC engines there is a stall recovery scheduled in the ECU/EEC.
Doesn't work, runs down after the event most of the time.

I have earned a lot of money from the v2500. If you fart across the intake it seems to surge/stall. Very very loud audible bang. IAE have rescheduled most of the FADEC system now to improve margin. No good for my bank balance lol.

If you want sim sounds come ask to go on a run on a windy day!

Who remembers the 535 C's spike test. an engine that can handle a surge.
